The Nintendo Wii Republic (NWR)

The Nintendo Wii Republic. Fierce rivals of both the MXR and SPE. Whilst they do not play the strongest link in the series, every now and again they will make a formidable opposition for the two major warring factions.

The NWR, rulers of the land of Wiitendo have been the longest serving formidable force on the face of the planet. When the war broke out, there numbers were higher then both the SPE and MXR - However, they lack the geniuine strength and superhero characters brought about in the story. More concrete information will be brought about later on the NWR.

Brief Background to the Console:
The Wii is a home video game console released by Nintendo. As a seventh-generation console, the Wii primarily competes with Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3. Nintendo states that its console targets a broader demographic than that of the two others. As of December 2009, the Wii leads the generation over the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in worldwide sales.

A distinguishing feature of the console is its wireless controller, the Wii Remote, which can be used as a handheld pointing device and detects movement in three dimensions. Another distinctive feature of the console is WiiConnect24, which enables it to receive messages and updates over the Internet while in standby mode.

The Wii is Nintendo's fifth home console, the direct successor to the Nintendo GameCube, and able to play all official GameCube games. Nintendo first spoke of the console at the 2004 E3 press conference and later unveiled the system at the 2005 E3. Satoru Iwata revealed a prototype of the controller at the September 2005 Tokyo Game Show. At E3 2006, the console won the first of several awards. By December 8, 2006, it had completed its launch in four key markets.

SPE: Jason Mirah

Just who is Jason Mirah some ask? sure he is in the ranks of SPE but no one exactly knows his background. What we do know is that he is short, and yes, he is black.

As the token black SPE soldier he naturally is only ever used for offensive and meaningless one liners. This aside, Jason uses a variety of weaponry. Like Andrew he uses a control as a weapon. A 'dual shock' weapon. In his other hand he uses a HDMI cable as a long-reaching whip. Some believe he stole the whip from his owners and fled to Sonyopia. Apart from his unusual looks and charatcer he is a ruthless soldier, whipping enemies into dust whilst vibrating his special areas with his dual shock. Elegant, Stylish; Jason Mirah.

SPE: Andrew Wicks

Originally born a woman, Andrew Wicks has turned out to be one of the most violent and deceptive warriors out there today. Andrew's true loyalty remains questionable as he owns all three consoles, this has given him nicknames like 'Cool', 'Andrew the Rich' and the favourite 'Console girl'.

Don't let the loyalties misguide you though. Using his great strength and stunning red lipstick he attacks with nothing but a Wii remote, and as we know, Wii remotes cause horrific damage to anyone. A much respected man in the ranks of SPE he goes about his business with a Vodka Crusier in one hand, and a fist of fury in the other. A truly remarkable fighter and champion of the GYZ league.

MXR: Jaime-Lee Dye

Born in a concrete jungle where all the 'cool' kids played LAN parties in Xboxia. Jaime is a devious woman, believed to be possed by several demons. This is the myth anyway, her amazing battle technqiues and agile swiftness has revelled her greatness. Using nothing but a crossbow Jaime dashes through the battlefield, picking off PS3 and Wii soldiers with exceptional ease. At this distance Jaime is almost untouchable on the war front. Her fanactical devotion to the Xbox 360 has led some to believe she may have in fact, invented the console.

After defeating Bill Gates in an arm wrestle near the start of the war, forty percent of Microsoft's portfolio shares went into Jaime's name. She now commands many, and wins many battles.

SPE: Ben Cowan

Born and bred with a control in one hand and a knife in the other. Cool, classy, showman - this is all the titles which circulate around the very man. Idolized as a prince, hero and goddess of the SPE frontlines Ben Cowan has taken many lives with nothing but the small blade in his hand. A king of melee attacks he lurks about, in an aggressive manner, stalking his prey - mimicking actions similar to Modern Warfare 2 (his mother, teacher and secret lover).

A known hater of the Xbots since before the war began, Ben even killed his own children one hot summer afternoon when they accidentaly browsed at the 360 section in EB games. Since then, his ranking within the SPE is something along similar lines to that of Colonel. And in close quarters, he is unmatchable.

SPE: Patrick O'Neill

Born into a family of natives, wild and savage Patrick grew up only understanding the primitive conceptions of gaming. It wasn't until his exile to the outskirts of Sonyopia did he join in the legions of the SPE. Using his native skills he has an uncanny ability to call fourth animals of the sea. An unusual talent, but very helpful indeed in his quest to destroy the marching Xbots and Nintens. Lugging around a small laser gun in his pocket allows him the distance he so desirely loves to blast away his enemies. The best asset he contributes of course, is the ability to add this laser gun to marine life which he commands. For that true element of surprise.

Patrick is a hardcore, SPE follower - with a grudge against the world, and a PS3 controller in his jacket.

Generation YZ

GYZ is basically a collective series of short stories dedicated to the prediction of a future war. This war, cunning in its disguise has already invaded the minds of millions. In our future, with no date of specific knowledge legable, a war between the three great giants of Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft will erupt. This will take ugly form in the gamers of the world, a crucial struggle between the Xbox dependencies, The Nintendo revolutionaries and the Playstation machine. It is a completely fictional tale of course, where seriousness is different in the eyes of the readers. Please enjoy my tale of this epic adventure - to see who will win this great struggle.
